Welcome to Bob's World!
I have many interests, but the one most on my mind right now is gardening. Spring is approaching, and my garden is starting to come alive, and I'm aching to go out and work in it. Unfortunately, the rain keeps coming down, and I can't seem to find much time.

The earth is a small place, and under more and more peril. One of my main interests is in environmental issues, and it seems there's not much to smile about lately. On my job, working fro the Washington state environmental agency, I'm trying to solve some of the problems by applying ecological design principles to industrial and municipal processes. I'm always interested in any success stories, so I can feel a little better about the future. I turned 40 recently, and I've started thinking about the second half, so to speak. Though I've been to many places around the globe, including the Rhine River in Germany, where there are castles like this for miles, I still want to see more. If you know of a great place to visit, send me some photos and some enticing words. I'm especially looking at Central and South America, Africa and India right now, though every place is special.
